Do I have an agent? No!
Did I let that stop me from self-publishing my first children’s picture book? No! Much like the sneakers my mom painted red when I was 6 so that I could have my very own ruby slippers (see adorable photo above), I’m not deterred easily. If magic is out there, I’m going to find it or make it myself.
I am seeking representation as a picture book author and will bust my chops to get it. In the meantime, the heart wants what the heart wants, so I’m going to keep putting out work that I feel the world needs to see.
My first book, A Very Spooky Summer was published in October 2024. My 3 year old son and his wild imagination were the inspiration. (If you’re into potentially crying, here is a video of me reading it to him for the first time. Sorry not sorry.)
